These stars shine down upon us, scoffing and revoking with judgmental glare. Black, the night sky looms overhead, fragmenting to abyss and crushing us as it falls. Eternity has decayed, leaving Fate in its wake. She speaks of man's expiration. Solemnly, but with serenity She grins. Sinew falls from the empyrean like ash from atop the Mount. Our bodies, now dust in the cosmos, litter incorporeal ground. Detached from allowance of existence humanity is swallowed to nihility. Our bodies, now dust in the cosmos, litter incorporeal ground. Daemons exult in man's passing. The Sovereigns exalt the Demise. The Great Death accomplished The End of the Contemptible Age Daemons exult the passing. Fate beams with assent. The stars shine down no more. Revocation comes to its ultimate close. The black sky has turned to white. Abysm has filled with Hope. Eternity has itself renewed. Fate abates to ease, unwinding in her celestial chamber. With contentedness she sighs. The skies now bright echo a mortal call which ages to come shall heed or realize their assured fall.

about

Halcyon Dawn is the first in the Halcyon Recordings compilation series. It features four songs by four bands which combine the sounds of black metal, post-rock and shoegaze. Although it was entirely self-funded and self-produced, the songs lack neither in quality of composition nor that of production. Influenced by black metal artists such as Alcest, Lantlos, Drudkh, Heretoir and Agalloch, the artists of Halcyon Dawn hope to further adapt and expand the post-black metal genre into a new, dynamic, and enlightening sound.
